Each day is a gift!
The average human looks without seeing, listens without hearing, touches without feeling, eats without tasting, moves without physical awareness, inhales without awareness of odor or fragrance, and talks without thinking. – Leonardo de Vinci
Are we living too fast? We complain that the days whip by too fast, and we don’t have enough time; but we live like we have all the time in the world. Our days are numbered, and life is extremely fragile. We can’t just hope for a someday, for retirement, for when we win the lotto. We need to grab the life out of each moment, because each moment we have is a precious gift.
There’s always tomorrow for dreams to come true, right? We should be doing things daily to build into our future, but we can’t forget to live life NOW. Somehow we need to keep both in focus. Live in the moment, taste life more intensely each and every day, AND do a little something everyday that will build into our future.
We also need to be building into the lives of others. There is a compounding amount of goodness that happens when we help others to grow, succeed, and thrive. I’ll talk more about that in another post.
