Health and Wellness Toolbox
We all have things we do or take to stay healthy. Right? I hope you’re taking care of yourself. Anti-aging, longevity, overall wellness, healthy body, healthy mind, improving my life as I age — These are all things I think about and strive for. So I have my health and wellness toolbox, my optimal-health bag, my daily rituals to keep me going strong.
A Little of My Story
I remember joking with my first child’s doctor about how after turning 30, something always hurt. It might be a different something every day, but something was always hurting. I was 36 at the time. A couple decades later and it’s still the same, but I’ve been learning how to better care for this crazy amazing body the whole time.
I’d say, learning, but not always putting everything into practice. I stayed active, in the gym and out of the gym, I ate healthier as I learned more about nutrition, but some things were overlooked. I didn’t sleep much and I ignored a tooth infection for about 8 years. Those two things can really mess a person up.
So, 2012 was a crazy year for me. The first half of the year I was miserable, struggling to get out of bed each day, wondering what was wrong with me and how I could fix it. It had been at least 6 years of feeling like that at that point. The second half of 2012 was completely different. I was blown away by how dramatically my health was changing for the better, wanted to learn more about what was going on inside me, and was thrilled to get back living life!
So What Changed?
The inflection point was when my wife asked me to try a cellular health product she had been learning about. She thought it might help me. I didn’t think it would do anything, but committed to try it and stick with it for a while. Within 3 months I knew things were changing, but 6 months in I was excited. Not just for me, but also for the friends and family that saw and heard about my experience and decided to try it for themselves.
There were a bunch of random people, with different challenges, all experiencing life change for the better. Now that’s something I can get excited about! That product is ASEA Redox, a cell signaling supplement containing active redox molecules – cellular messengers that affect genetic expression in a positive way, helping to protect, rejuvenate, and keep cells functioning. That’s what it says on the bottle. My translation is that it gets cells talking to each other like they should so your body can better take care of itself.
As a Result
That excitement led me down a path of learning from people like Zach Bush and David Sinclair, and listening to podcasts from Andrew Huberman and Rich Roll, and following people on social media like Tony Riddle and Mark Hyman. I’m fascinated by how our bodies function and interact with life around us, the food we eat, and the soil we grow our food in.
As I head into my sixties, and beyond, I hope to continue learning, thriving, and unlocking many more healthy years.
What's in the Toolbox?
- Good Sleep – Our body needs it to recover and repair. You need rest. Plus, our brain gets a car wash of sorts while we sleep.
- Real Food – Do everything you can to eat more real food and less processed food.
- Time Outside – You’ve gotta have it. Your body needs time to reconnect with the life around you.
- Movement – Quit sitting and move around. Call it exercise if you want, but you need to do everything you can to keep your muscle mass as you get older.
- Water – Drink it. Swim in it. Find a lake, river, ocean, natural spring, and spend time in the water.
- Soil – Find some good, healthy soil and connect with it. Play in it, grow stuff in it, your body needs to interact with healthy soil. Science is finding that we can’t thrive as human beings without healthy soil.
- Read – Yes, I’m going there. I think everybody needs to read. Read to learn. Read to get lost in a great fictional story. Books are where they keep the secrets!

ASEA
ASEA has a wonderful Redox Rewards Program for Customers and Associates that have a monthly subscription. You earn Points (10%-30% of what you spend) with every monthly order, and can then redeem those points for products. As long as you have an active subscription order, every three months you’ll level up and start earning more points.
I redeem my Points for other products I like using: Redox Clay Mask, REDOXMind and REDOXRadiance drink mixes, VIA Nutritional supplements, and some of the RENUAdvanced Skin Care System.
ASEA also has an Associate Program were you can earn money sharing their products. If you’d like information on that, reach out to me.

Tally Health
Co-founded by longevity expert and Harvard genetics professor Dr. David Sinclair, Tally Health entered the market as a health ally for anyone looking to improve healthspan and increase longevity.
If you use my referral code, I think we both get $50 off a product order.

Vivobarefoot Shoes
Vivobarefoot makes minimal, barefoot shoes that are wide, thin and flexible to let your feet do their natural thing. The shoes are made with the health of people and the planet in mind, using sustainable materials and working to make shoes that are better for you, and better for the planet.
I recently bought a pair Vivos and received a 20% off offer to give to a friend who hasn’t bought Vivo shoes before. You’ll get 20% off your first, and I get 20% off too so it’s win-win.

Do Not Age
NMN and NR are natural compounds that are precursors to NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide). NAD+ is an essential coenzyme involved in various metabolic processes, including energy production, DNA repair, and cellular signaling.
Again, I feel this is a great compliment to ASEA Redox. (I used to get resveratrol from them also, but since resveratrol is part of Tally Health’s Vitality supplement, I’m already taking it.)
I leaned about the benefits of NMN and resveratrol from Dr. David Sinclair’s book, Lifespan.
